Criminal procedure cannot be translated into software by software people alone.
LexMap is born at the intersection of legal expertise, defence-work design and artificial intelligence.
Building a platform that is genuinely useful to lawyers requires people who know criminal procedure from the inside and can recognise, in day-to-day work, what technology can help rethink. That is why we are looking for LexMap Legal Product Specialists.
What it means
The LexMap Legal Product Specialist is not an IT technician. It is someone able to start from a legal or operational problem and help turn it into a feature of the platform.
It means, for example, working out how a count of the indictment should be represented. How to link a suspect to the documents that concern them. How to reconstruct an investigative sequence. How to make the relationships between facts, people, documents and sources of evidence immediately readable. How to help defence counsel move from reading the case file to building the strategy.
Who we are looking for
The role is aimed mainly at:
- criminal-defence lawyers;
- young lawyers with hands-on experience managing case files;
- professionals who have worked directly on analysing criminal proceedings;
- people with a particular interest in the relationship between law, information organisation and artificial intelligence.
We are not necessarily looking for IT skills. We are looking above all for legal expertise, analytical ability and design curiosity.
What you would work on
The contribution could involve, among other things:
- reading and organising the case file;
- representing parties and their procedural positions;
- analysing counts of the indictment;
- linking documents, facts and people;
- building defence dossiers;
- timelines and investigative sequences;
- case-file control tools;
- support functions for preparing defence activity;
- new models of interaction between lawyer and artificial intelligence.
What we are not looking for
We are not looking for people who simply validate, after the fact, a piece of software that has already been built. The principle is the opposite: legal expertise has to come in before the feature is built.
The Legal Product Specialist therefore takes part in the process through which a need of the defence first becomes a model and then an operational tool.

Applying only takes a few details. A formal cover letter is not required: what matters most to us is understanding what you know about criminal procedure and what you think should work better.
We do not want to teach lawyers how to use technology
We want lawyers to help decide how the technology should be built.
That is the idea behind LexMap. And that is the role of the LexMap Legal Product Specialist.
